My jimny is a 2005 and it too had awful seats.
Guessing jimny seats vary between markets maybe, but mine 2005 was flat and horrible and the rear seats did not fold flat.
Changed them to seats from a 2004 jimny as they where partly leather, much better to sit in, and the rear seats could fold down to a flat surface.

Two reasons for that, seats must be original here or you must have a TUV approval or similar and get them approved or you will not pass MOT. And all norwegian cars have heated seats so the 2004 jimny could be hooked up to the original wiring sort of easily.

I drive fairly long trips and being old and used, both me and the car, we get along much better with the 04 seats.

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 Cooper Disco, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck.
