On my "other vehicle" I have no need to do anything to get in the car, just pull the door handle, key in pocket.
Keyless entry and start.
Nice, but when I leave to work with the Gen4, key is left wrapped in aluminium foil.

Yeh
There definitely getting smarter.
Doesn't seem to matter how new or old the car is, they find a way around it.
My other car which im wanting to put the killswitch in allready has a tracking system in it which is great but if i can make it harder for someone to pinch it, is a added bonus for sure.
That just has the fuse for the fuel pump.
I honestly wouldn't want the car back if it was pinched,
Im sure the car wouldn't be the same.
Ill probably figure out how to do the jimny aswell the same with a switch,
They have a fuel pump relay though so may be a different process to wire up??

If I was to also do same the same switch to my jimny what would be easiest way?
The ignition coil has a mini fuse which is easy but also has bigger fuses? So would i possibly have to do those to?
And fuel pump is a relay. mmm

I usually leave my cars with the key in the ingition. And usually doors unlocked. This way thiefs do not have to break the glass or cut the canopy to get in and find there is nothing in there for them of any significant value.
And with the key in the ignition they do not have to break the interior to get it started either.
Hoping to find my car more whole after a theft.
Wich is extremely unlikely where I live.
More likely someone I know need my car and with the key in the ignition they would not have to bother me for it and just take the car and move it or borrow it or whatever.
Edit: Not sure now with stupid AI search results but looked like in my part of Norway we have 0-30 pr 100000 and 150-300 pr 100000 in the UK.

You say the other car has push button start - it has a fuel pump relay as does the jimny.
A kill switch to disable the fuel pump can be added by inserting it in series with whatever fuse powers the fuel pump, using a fuse tap as you have suggested is one way to do it and has the advantage that it can be easily reversed if the need arises.
Unfortunately, this advantage is also a disadvantage, it can easily be reversed/bypassed if discovered.
You can also wire a kill switch to disable the ignition, however, it's not something I would recommend - you could potentially have the EFI system injecting fuel with no spark and flood the cylinders, preventing it from starting after the kill switch has been toggled to the run position.
Kill switches that disable the starter can also be installed, however these are ineffective on manual transmission vehicles.
Ideally the kill switch will be concealed in an easily accessible position, with the wiring concealed & inaccessible to make it harder for a would be thief from easily finding it and bypassing it.
