Thanks everyone. I have to admit to leaving the air con on all of the time. On other cars I have tried switching it off for most of the time and only putting it on when needed, but haven’t seen any savings.

Interesting that YF gas leaks out faster, that’s progress I suppose, costs twice as much and lasts for a shorter time.

My last Jimny, a 2011, the air con worked perfectly until sold in 2024, no record of any re-gas.

At the end of the day, I am just happy to have it working properly again, the forecast is for 20-22c for the next week or two and the benefit of blowing cool air over me (this is going to make Lambert happy) and the doggy is cool is good news all round.
