Thanks for your responses guys.
Test drove the car today and while it’s definitely one of the cleanest I’ve seen, it still had the beginnings of rot in the usual places…. boot floor, behind the headlights etc.
It drove quite well but definitely could have done with new suspension and a clutch.
Warranty was 3 months, with MOT expiring in 5.
Also was advertised as having full service history but only evidence of 1.
I reckon it probably needed at least £2k of work to leave it the way I would want it and by that stage I’d be in over £7k.
Ultimately I felt the dealer was looking too much money, so walked away.
I’ve viewed a handful of third gen’s now and am always surprised by how poorly people maintain their cars.

My 2018 has a couple of carpark dents that I'm not happy about but at least the under side isn't anything like that bad. Seems the waxoyl wasn't a waste of time.
