Why don't Suzuki offer factory soft and hardtop models?

If they did a removable hardtop then it would be easy to get an aftermarket soft top for it. And people that don't care that much about open top can just leave the hardtop on all the time. But going with a permanent hardtop will turn away a lot of potential buyers like myself.

I haven't actually seen anyone not buy one because it's not available in a soft top nor have I seen people really asking for a soft top model so it can't be highly in demand....

I would have liked a new shape Jimny in soft top form to match my SJ but I also realise that the Hardtop is the preferred option in the UK given our climate and that probably is the same for other countries aswell which is maybe why they only decided to do hard tops only in the newer models.
Although ironically the UK has always been a strong market for convertibles. I think it was on Top Gear many moons ago (MGF era) where they stated more convertibles are sold in the UK than the rest of Europe combined. Not sure if this is still true or ever 100% accurate. But historically there have been lots and lots of convertibles for sale from sports cars like the MX-5, to folding hard top thingies like the Focus CC and Golf Cabriolet, not to mention the millions and millions of MINI convertibles.

You hanging around Suzuki dealerships asking folks? Lol
Again, I have and prefer a hardtop. My point is why aren't Jimnys' removable? Soft top is an aftermarket purchase, but cutting the top off a permanenet hard top is an expensive and potentially illegal prospect. It just seems like common sense to me that a vehicle specifically designed to emulate a Jeep doesn't offer the best feature of them.

No I'm only going from what I see online on Jimny groups across social media and rarely do you see people wishing their jimny was a convertible. Usually more power and better handling is the most common thing people want. I'm all for soft tops and wish they would come back into
Fashion along with the Jimny of course but I can't even see the car making a return at this rate. #MakeSoftTopsGreatAgain

Certainly in the past we've had a lot of convertibles in the UK. Nowadays how many are there on the market I'm not sure. Maybe someone knows?
