That makes me wonder why you feel the need to have a fuel can in your car most of the time.

 
I own chainsaws, lawnmowers, motorbikes, boats, a sawmill and several other tools with small petrol engines. There's always something that needs fuel. The same reason my Jimny is always full of tools and spare parts.It's a work vehicle, and often becomes the mobile workshop for the farm.

I spent a year travelling and working on farms and stations in West Australia. I always carried a can of fuel in the car but cant think that I never needed it. Anywhere that was far enough from civilisation for it to be a problem had their own supply for refuelling.
