My insurance states min 2kg extinguisher to get a discount. Maybe if I hade a few of those?
As to what been said of the latches, the worst that could happen was if someone released the 2 kg's of powder inside the car by a mishap. If the inside was filled with the stuff the car would be a write off.

Everyone should take along the stick extinguishers when they go camping. They're great! Very portable. But don't fool yourself that they are as good as a 2kg bottle.
It has been said that I take this stuff too seriously.
@yakuza And if your bottle goes off in the car because some little gremlin was messing with the pin even after you told him not to... well, you can just tell everyone that your Jimny has the ultrarare Christmas Tree Flocking Edition interior. It's like driving a snow globe, Yuletide all year round!

And yet everyone from FIA to Norwegian insurance companies still tell you that a 2kg bottle is the minimum protection. Why so? Because there is no such thing as a free lunch: the chemical sticks are lighter, safer (than an incorrectly secured bottle) and will never need upkeep... and they won't put out half the fires that a bottle will. These are lighter, safer and will never need any service or upkeep.
