Had an interesting comment from the peanut gallery, aka my old man today. We have had to move some sheep today and unusually for the time of year the land is still dry enough for motorised travel. So off we go with 7 sheep in the single axle trailer, drop in the hubs and low L and off I go up to the pens and the trailer is tracking outside the line of the car on a significant side slope which I don't normally use but being so steep it 8s also very dry. Anyway off we go not a murmur from temeraire and all is good. So we do what we have to and get ready for the return again with a load of sheep in tow. Being sensible I opt to defend the slope in line with gravity to minimise the chances of a jack knife and temeraire just walks down the hill like it's flat ground which it isn't, in places it's about 40 degrees and grass with frost on account of being north facing. This all garnered the comment "this thing doesn't half have some traction!" To which I replied "yeah it wouldn't do this with those old road tyres on, who'd of thought it an off road car with off road tyres doing well off road !"

You missed an opportunity there, whilst he was been complimentary about the Jimny, you should have tapped him up for something new, like a set of BFGs or that Gen 4 LCV you have had your eye on

If bfg did an off road tyre in 205.70 then I would have a set quick fast in a hurry. But they don't. As for a gen4, you find me one in dark grey with an auto and a 2000kg tow limit and I'll think about it!

I can't fault you for trying and actually the mid grey is one of the few colours that helps me with the shape, I could give it a red roof and bonnet and it would almost be a Massey Ferguson! But and this is the kicker, they don't tow any more than mine.
