Gen 4 Drivers Mat question? was created by DrRobin
My Gen 4 came to me with rubber mats, the drivers side has two holes at the rear with plastic surrounds which are obviously meant to locate on two pins in the Jimny floor. However, my Jimny doesn't have the floor pins or clips and as a result the drivers side mat slides around a bit.
The mats look like these www.glynhopkinpartsonline.co.uk/cdn/shop...024.jpg?v=1633003538
Was it meant to have a couple of fixings fitted in to the floor or are these an after market fitment?

Your rubber mats should have been supplied with two plastic clips that fit onto the seat mounting crossmember and hold the rubber mat firmly in place. This is only for the drivers mat. The passenger mat is slightly different in size and doesn't need the clips.

Thanks Martin,
I have the rubber mats as shown in the first picture but the previous owner didn’t fit the clips. Is it possible to get the clips as a separate item or can you buy aftermarket clips?

I don't think they are available separately but I will ask for you
On mine, purchased new from a dealer (but not my usual dealer), the mats were placed in the car and the clips were in a bag in the glovebox.
