Programmable? I just want to buy it plug it into some power and it work, I don't have the patience to mess with it.
Here you can use the pmr channels or there is hunting channels if you are a hunter, sheep herding channels, many different need and different channels for different people.
Not sure if it is actually allowed to have all channels I can legally use in the same handheld but still...

The hand held is the kit I went for second.

PNI Escort HP62 (it's a clone of the Midland Alan 42). I bought mine with the car kit, which includes cig lighter power and external antenna, see here

www.mypni.co.uk/kit-cb-cbi-pni-escort-62...ded-asq-rf-gain.html

I then bought a Li-Ion battery pack and rubber duck so I can use it as a handheld
www.amazon.co.uk/PNI-PB-HP62-1500mAh-bat...ntenna/dp/B08TVSWXT7

Finally I bought an Icom speaker mic as it turns put that when in the car kit, it's classed as a handheld and not legal to use whilst driving (it has a display on it). A microphone on it's own is apparently legal.

I found an old cordless drill/screwdriver soft case to keep it all in.

The handheld is good value, works on all of the bands and even goes up to 8W output. I can't remember who I got it from, not direct from PNI, it might have been Moonraker and possibly Amazon for the battery/rubber duck antenna.

I didn't know CB's were a thing, don't think we've had one since the late 70's
