Hi,
I'm on the market for a roof rack for my Jimny 2002.
I have been looking at this one , since it's on sale at the moment. However, the seller has specified that it's not compatible with older models (2005 onward). I've messaged him separately and he confirm that it will not fit.
Are there any difference/variations between models for the holes on roof or the mounting of the roof racks ? I can't imaging there would be any but this made me think.

yeah, they do have it. Though it's £70 more expensive.
I'm wondering if there's really a difference in the roof rack mounting between the 2002 and 2005+ models.

The roof mounting points are the same from 1998 to 2018.

Mine look Just like this. But mine is very light weight made from Aluminium.
I was planning on byuing a steel rack so i could more easy modify, but i do like the weight on this one.
Had a center bar on it that it came with. will Mount it back later maybe.
Mine was bought used. Paid 300 euro /gbp ish.
I have cut off the (silly) parts for lights poking fwd now. Haven't mounted anything on it yet. Will get an awning and a low profile led bar.
Some bolted in straps and ready Mounts as well.
This one was on an older jimny before and of course it fits them all.
