Hi all. Looking at my front grille badge it seems to be 2 separate parts. How do I safely get the chrome bit out so that I can wrap it independently before putting it back?

I do like your thorough approach, but I just rubbed it down and painted it with a brush in a dabbing motion avoiding brush streaks.
Surprised how good it looks and how long it is since now and no peeling. Will do it to the other badges too. Maybe some day..

If I can jump in on this with a sort of related question.
Are all of the grills on the front the same?
I was pondering swapping out the centre badged one for a plain slatted one, but don't fancy breaking one of mine testing out a theory.

Unless you have a final edition gen3 with the separate grille then yes they are movable.

Heat it gently and pry out starting from the very bottom so that any ding won't be visible.
If wrapping, IMHO and own experience, you'll have to do it in three sections, meaning each one of the 3 main sections of the S must get enough vinyl to cover its sides.
I've done the split on the ridges. It will not show up.
