Gen 4 battery was created by HJ-DK
Hi - living in Denmark I have a Webasto heater in my Gen 4. After 4 years the battery starts to show some wear. What would be the highest capacity / best quality battery you would recommend to replace the standard/factory battery in a Gen 4 bearing in mind that the battery sees some wear when running the Webasto heater?

Cheers

I did some research and decided on a Yuasa HSB 053. This will fit straight in and gives a 450CCA as against the original 370CCA. Cost from my local Halfords store was £80.98 and I bought it on 3rd Jan. this year. If your original battery has lasted 4 years with your Webasto heater, the Yuasa unit will have no problem in bettering that. They have a 5 year guarantee.

I had previously saved these links for future investigation. If i am reading the top label correctly it has 815 CCA?

Yes, it will fit. I assume the full kit includes the bits and pieces to move the electrics?
Don't like the price though.

Makes it a better price if you just buy the fitting kit and source the battery yourself.

I agree, but IMHO, the cost overall would only be justified if you had a winch fitted and then having one battery instead of squeezing another one on the n.side would be a bonus.

The reason I had my eye on this one was for my 2ch Dash cam. It records in parking mode on a motion and shock sensor. But with the Jimny battery your'e lucky if it does more than 30 minutes before it shuts down to preserve the battery for cranking. Where as in my previous Toyota it would record for another 5 to 6 hours easily. But i was going to wait until the OEM battery started showing its age before upgrading.
