OK so it's looking like time for a new set of dampers, something to do with being a working truck on a farm. I understand that the trailmaster of my last jimny are now made of unobtanium so that means looking at other options. I had half promised myself a set of avo adjustable but they seem to be made of platinum inlaid with gold given when people want for them. So that puts me on to the adjustable black raptor in 0 to 25mm. I have it in mind they are rebranded gaz who make a good product. My other options are going to be fixed rate bilstine b6s but I like the idea of soft for a day on the lanes something middle for daily and stiff for long days with the trailer or days out with the back roads crew.
Any one have direct experience of the benefits of the adjustable life?

Sadly I don't have any experience with these. But very keen to hear views on them. As the Black Raptor kit is currently at the top of my preferred suspension kits to buy.

I'm very sure those Black Raptors are Gaz. Having used both AVO and Gaz on various vehicles I prefer Gaz. The only reason why I didn't go for Gaz on my Jimny was the long lead time for custom length Gaz shocks. Jimnybits wouldn't give me the open/closed lengths of their kits. Either way I think adjustable shocks are worth the money.
The Gaz shocks on my trials car are getting on for 15 years old and still going strong. The ones on the buggy are ~9 years old. I don't know how long the AVOs on the Jimny will last but one leaked at the adjuster from new. When I spoke to their tech support guy he was not surprised and just told me to send it back for repair.
After fitting adjustables I tend to put a bit of time into playing with settings in the beginning then, once I have found a happy medium that works for most situations they get left.
You'll soon get tired of climbing underneath to tweak them to suit different use cases.

Have both avo and "gaz" very good tbh and far superior to normal ones
