A question for the Jimny hive mind: Will a kingpin rebuild kit for a gen 2 fit a gen 3?My mechanic is bringing one of these in for a 1980 something Gen 2 and I'm thinking of getting him to grab me one as well.

The bearings themselves will fit as will the small axle oil seals.
The large swivel seals will have large felt rings on the Gen2 (SJ) and although I suspect the fitting holes will line up I suspect they will have ia different internal shape. The locking nut parts are not compatible,

So in summary be prepared to throw away everything apart from the bearings and small oil seals.

Thanks Martin,

Do you sell a similar kit? I know you have the bearings and shims...

Cheers,

Rick
