If you pop the cover off the bellhousing to access the clutch arm.
If you grab the end of the clutch arm (the bit the cable moves) you should have a bit of free play, I dunno the exact amount but its something like 2-4mm of free movement.
If its too tight or slack you need to adjust the cable. Adjusting the cable compensates for cable stretch or clutch wear.
You do this by gripping the cable and rotating the adjuster.
If the clutch doesnt feel any better or the cable is at the end of adjustment you are gonna have to replace the cable or clutch. Dont be tempted to bodge it by adding spacers as this can bend the clutch arm!
Might be worth unhooking the cable and making sure it moves ok, sometimes the inner cable can frey and jam.
