Clutch adjustment was created by Danparry
Hey I'm having some trouble changing into 1st gear and sometimes 2nd,  just feels abit stiff and doesn't easily shift into those gears,

It has been fine just the last week this has happened,

i think maybe i need to adjust clutch cable?

If so how tight should the cable be?
Should I just turn the adjuster one full rotation and check if it improves shifting?

I had this issue about 1- 1/2 yrs ago after getting new clutch and gearbox got it adjusted and fine,

But yeah it just started doing it again

Was the cable swapped at the same time, it could have stretched?

If you pop the cover off the bellhousing to access the clutch arm.
If you grab the end of the clutch arm (the bit the cable moves) you should have a bit of free play, I dunno the exact amount but its something like 2-4mm of free movement.

If its too tight or slack you need to adjust the cable. Adjusting the cable compensates for cable stretch or clutch wear.

You do this by gripping the cable and rotating the adjuster.

If the clutch doesnt feel any better or the cable is at the end of adjustment you are gonna have to replace the cable or clutch. Dont be tempted to bodge it by adding spacers as this can bend the clutch arm!

Might be worth unhooking the cable and making sure it moves ok, sometimes the inner cable can frey and jam.
