Hi all, I recently purchased a 2004 jimny. On doing an examination, I noticed that there was no o2 sensor. Judging by the tyre pressure instructions on the door post that was in french I figure that it must have been built by the Santana factory in Spain. - is there any connection?

Seems it never had one, there is a bolt in the hole where it goes.

I like to play the devil's advocate - how do you get "seems it never had one" from "there is a bolt in the whole where it goes"? Couldn't a previous owner have unbolted the O2 sensor and fitted a bolt in it's place?

I could understand the statement "seems it never had one" being made if the manifold had no bung to take one.

In the interests of full disclosure I should mention that I have owned more than one fuel injected Suzuki that did not have an O2 sensor, and those manifolds did not have the threaded bung to accept one.  On the one that I still have, (a 98 GV with a J20a engine) the wiring harness connector, pre-wired for the O2 sensor is present, but, there is no bung on the manifold.

Try looking behind the glove box - do you see anything like this ...

Those are two different views of the CO2 adjusting resistor fitted to my car, if your Jimny didn't have an O2 sensor from the factory, it should havea CO2 adjusting resistor.
