Comparing Engine swaps was created by CharterBoat
Okay so I've been wanting a m16a engine to go into my gen3 but I am starting to second guess myself is the extra money worth it? Or is the m15a engine the best bang for buck? I don't want to do m18a can't find any anywhere where I'm at in the world, well not good ones at least, plus I've heard some stuff about stress on drivetrain and things.

Plenty of people do the swap but I've never really seen much point myself. I can understand that coming to a Jimny from a normal car a Jimny may seem slow but taken in isolation they are plenty powerful enough to be fun without being so powerful to get you into a situation you can't recover. They're also good at keeping your licence clean too.

It should only be pulling about 3700 rpm at 70mph. Has yours got other modifications?

performance wise nothing, unless you want to count a cat-back and a snorkel. I've had a few engine issues so that's probably why, nothnig major but i dont know. laterly i have been seeing over reving when changing gears once i take my foot of the clutch and power down.

Over rev is probably the clutch getting tired.
