Well said Lambert! Also the tyre manufacturer can give you another number than will confirm all the above, its the Static Loaded Radius. I quote from an email from Bridgestone for the stock Gen 4 195 80R 15 Tyre: "Static Loaded Radius = 315mm +6, -10."Lambert wrote: The tyre will have a maximum load at a maximum pressure written on the side-walls.
Either using the maximum axle weights off the vin or actually measuring the weight on each axle you can use maths to work out the pressure from the maximum figures on the tyre.
For my Jimny I have settled on 22psi for left front & rear and 22.5psi for right front & rear, at 4 degrees C, no TPMS. I have yet to measure the Static Loaded Radius at these pressures.

Why are you running different tyre pressures left to right?

A good question. There is more weight over the right side of the car than the left with only the driver + fuel. This will be confirmed later when I measure the Static Loaded Radius of all four wheels.Roger Fairclough wrote: To GeorgeC: Why are you running different tyre pressures left to right? Roger
