Boot liner for dirty dog was created by LittleJamesArnold
Hello!
Just bought a 2013 Jimny - my first Jimny. Very excited.
Anyone any advice on what's a good liner for the boot (with seats folded down) to protect it from our muddy dog.
Thanks
James

Does anyone know if the rear seats need to be removed when using the genuine Suzuki hard plastic boot liner? It says on some sites that they need to be removed, but no mention on others.

Welcome to the forum. The genuine Suzuki one leaves the seat in place but has quite a step in the floor. If you do take the seat out it's a simple job to make a plywood floor with a rubber cover for pooches to be comfortable.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I won't rush to buy the Suzuki one then and wait and see how we get on. Slightly reluctant to take out the rear seats just yet - not sure my wife will approve!

Hi James,
I bought one of these from Amazon for £8.99 (a bargain)
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01FMTUB9I/ref=pe_31...189395841_TE_3p_dp_1
It is well made and covers the entire boot of a Jimny. Our medium sized dog (Collie cross) had no problem sitting on it with the seats down, even if they are at a bit of an angle.
We had a long weekend away in the Lakes a couple of weeks ago (without the dog) and the cover made an excellent gear/cargo area cover (seats down), hiding all of our personal kit (and Xmas pressies) while we left the car to go walking for the day.
In fact with the rear tinted windows you couldn't tell that it was there unless you looked closely.
Hope that helps.

The fact the GEN3 rear seats do not fold flat is a pain for most things, and if you have a large dog uncomfortable at best. I went for removing the rear seat as suggested by Lambert, it's turned out to be the best modification I have made. Easy to do and ours was done in a day with plywood and black automotive carpet, all from eBay.
The resulting load area is very useful and has the bonus it's now only has two seats, me and the wife, stopped the family taxi service overnight, result. We just throw a cheap blanket in the rear when we transport our friends Labrador.
Just so you can picture the finished result here is a picture !
I can also still access the storage area.

Thanks everyone. All very useful. Leaning towards taking out the back seats now!

Hi, Has anyone bought the titancovers boot liner?
www.titancovers.co.uk/suzuki-jimny-with-...s-custom-boot-liner/
Any good? How does it cover the gap or 'hole' between the front seats and the start of the 'boot'?
Many thanks.
