Good timing I guess. I do occasionally check in still to see if I have any messages.

As far as the Fox shocks go, they are very high quality and I have been very satisfied with them. I likely wouldn't recommend them to anyone that didn't plan to keep their vehicle on a long-term basis. They are expensive but are both customizable and can be rebuilt. Cost over time should easily balance out compared to any decent quality shock.

The thing that I like about the Jimny is that it is lightweight. I do my best to keep it that way when I am on the trails. I carry as little as possible. If I was typically going to be carrying camping and other gear, I would likely change both the psi and valving. Currently I plan to change the front very slightly when I rebuild. There were no modifications required other than switching to an elbow on the front remote reservoir hoses.

Amazing! You're here. So a lightly loaded Jimny you like the valving you picked. I will take that into consideration. I assume you have a 2" lift? What springs did you use? I don't plan on selling the vehicle in the near future but who knows? I've costed out that it would be about $2000 Canadian for all 4 shocks. Not cheap. Do you wish you had the low speed compression dial at all or you found a happy medium in your settings?

Also, did you remove your sway bar? If you have a build thread somewhere I'd love to read it.

Actually the Low Speed Compression adjustment was an option I selected when I ordered the shocks. I was a little tempted to go for the Dual Speed Compression adjustment but decided that it really wasn't necessary if I tuned the shocks properly for my dirt/gravel road driving.

I went with OME springs, using the front OME for the diesel Jimny. When it comes time to replace the springs, I will go with front springs for a petrol Jimny with a steel front bumper. Don't remember all of the model numbers now.

I have never removed the sway bar as my wife and daughter will occasionally drive the car. Depending upon my level of motivation at the time, as well as the track I'm driving, I will disengage the sway bar.

Edit: The valving. Sorry. I am happy with the rear in both springs and shocks. As I mentioned in my previous post, will probably increase the psi slightly and will decide then if I want to make a slight change to the valving. That will probably wait until after changing the front springs.
