The Torque on the boosterjets are very good, the 1 litre is 170Nm @ 2000rpm. The 1.4 is 220Nm @ 1500rpm.
I would assume it's the way the power is delivered whilst in 4low would be a bit erratic, the naturally aspirated engine is favoured because it delivers the power smoothly, more direct throttle response (due to the lack of turbo lag).

I wonder what the Kei engine is like for performance and economy. Turbocharged 660cc isn't it? I'm sure there's a good reason they don't, but maybe they should sell them here too.
