Re:Wheels and tyres options, advice please.
I think there is not enough difference between original wheels and how wide you can go without getting into either cutting or the tire poking out of the arches to bother with changing the wheels. For off road and low tire pressure there is no point in wider rims.

I think ET15 is a good compromise. A little wider without giving massive clearance issues or killing wheel bearings too often.

I have been looking at the Wiki on tyres and wheels recently. It says;
"Jimny factory wheel specification
Depending upon trim level, Jimny 3 and 4 are supplied with either alloy or steel wheels, sized 5.5Jx15 ET22.
Wheel stud mounting specification ("PCD" parameter) is 5 x 139.7."
So I am confused over the offset now?

Gen 4 is 5mm ET, not 22mm as quoted on jimnybits:

It is 2:00am here, so I got the magnifier out and had a look at the spare/rim, the Alloy is ET5.
I was given this photo from Japan for a Gen4 steel wheel rim, 43210-81A25-QC8 however, I cannot find the ET in the photo :
If it's a Japanese wheel make sure it is for the Sierra or wide Jimny not the kei variety as the latter is narrower to conform with regulations
