I will be running a 4" suspension lift but will i have any clearance issuse with running 235/70/16 on these wheels www.4x4tyres.co.uk/jimny-1998-to-2005/16...el-wheel-p-3922.html
Also i dont mind doing some arch cutting to gain better clearance on articulation, but i dont want to buy wheels and have my tyres fitted and find out they dont fit or they scrub realy badly.
Many thanks

so sorry to hijack this post.
I just did a 3" body lift and a 4" suspension lift kit on my jimny.
Planning to fit in 29"s MT tires, i have been reading through all threads but i kinda don't understand the theory behind the gear ratio etc.
I wish to fit in 29"s MT tires, but i would like to have like stock tires consumption etc, what do i need to do? For now, my car would be 80% road driving except the the weekend trips.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.. thank u in advance..

what is the biggest kind of tires the zook would push with stock?
Anything above 31" is just for show no matter what.
And 31" tyres is fine with the standard transferbox, as long as it's for road use.
If you're building for offroad, then a rocklobster is mandatory, no matter tyresize.

A 4" lift on its own will take as big a tyre as the axles can stand so the 3" body lift is not only pointless but will make it worse offroad due to a higher centre of gravity
