Only a 7.5ft line tho but I suppose you add strops if your far away,combined with a land anchor could work well.. can you pop a pic up of yours in the boot so I can see how big it is

I think ive seen 5ton ones of them which surely means more strength in the unit itself aswell as the line?

ive always thought their to cheap to be any good or reliable or have shite build quality?

I have no rear seats in mine!! :laugh: It is about as big as a 2 litre bottle of coke.

waffel boards are very effective seen them used and its next recovery item on my list,going forwards or backwards.a mate of mine had a hand winch and first time he used it,it snapped,was put off after this and he got a proper winch.

For me if out on your own,a small shovel and boards would be the way to go,a hand winch as a last resort.

laning guide lines say never go out on your own :huh:

theres 4 ton ones on ebay for about £30, high enough load capacity.

Was just a general question john not specificaly aimed at you :laugh:

I always carry a small spade with me,had thought about waffle boards just thought a hand winch might be easier.
