Received my ORA winch plate. Stripped off my front bumper and front recovery points ready to fit. I put the plate in place and it didn't fit properly. I thought I might have got it the wrong way around so checked the ORA pdf fitting guide and it was in the correct position however I noticed my plate was a slightly different shape to the one in the pictures so I had a look at the one in the advert on the ORA site. Bothel the photos show a cutout to fit around the chassis leg ends, mine did not on the offside leg side. So much for a simple drill and bolt on job. So out comes the grinder to trim a bit off the leg end and cut/grind the cutout in the plate myself. Not great but it is now on and ready for my winch when I get it B)

Leave the clutch plate bolts loose as its easyer to get it in then bolt it all in and do them up where the cable goes through well thats what i did

The problem i found is due to the studs on the gearbox/engine(cant remember what there on) it stops you wiggling and shaking it in

Even if it is lined up spot on thay dont alway slip straight in as the splines dont always line up

Try again, I think it is a real boon. I fit one to every one of my motors. Was it on a roll? I think I started in the centre last time. Don't give up.

I took mine for a nice 12 quid valet

I had to pull it forward whilst he did the second wash and rinse as the crap just kept on falling out from underneath (behind my truck in the pic is the remains of the first wash) and it wasnt getting cleaner ;-) I haven't off roaded in months so this was just normal dirt and everyday accumulations :P

Best thing was i rolled in, he took one look at me and asked if i wanted the normal wash i have, then shut the gate behind me and told the customer in front he was shutting early as it would take the rest of the day to clean mine.

I think 12quid aint bad value for 2 washes and rinses, a hoover (when theres an inch of cow muck in the footwell from work) and clean and polish of the inside, windows and mirrors, tyre shine and a hand polish afterwards. Ive been to others but they charge the earth for 4x4s  he was on it over an hour this time and still "12 pound please my friend"
