Today, with the help of the lady from Silver Chain (my aged care provider) we did the Battery swap!!GeorgeC wrote: Today, Saturday 1 August, my weekly Voltage check:
New EFB Battery in the Car: 12.77V
Original Battery on the bench: 12.76V
For those following and doing the maths, the nett loss of capacity since fitting the EFB Battery would be in the vicinity of 20AH, that is 34% of 58AH! In that time the car has covered about 18km with 8 starts.
When I remove the EFB Battery, probably next week, it will take about 15-20 hours at 1 amp (+ rest time) to recover the initial charge. While that is happening, I will re-fit the original lead acid battery as it is almost fully charged at 12.76V and waiting on the bench.

With a difference. Through two gardens! Drove up wrong drive to a friends house, (semi detached big old hoose), dividing hedge just been howked out so big soft earth trench now awaiting a fence.
"Just drive over" friend says, rear wheel digs in to fine gravel drive.
For the 1st time since purchase last Oct. I engage LR 4wd, sailed across bumpy divide in fine fashion.
I'm no longer an off-roading virgin!
