What did you do to your jimny today?

Good lambert.. often forget to do the servicing inbetween putting the fun stuff on our cars..

Yesterday i changed the rubbish LED bulbs to proper halogen in the fog lights.
Amber ones for better visibility in the snow.

And tried yet again to find the reason for my still shining brake warning light. Tried cutting wires behind the cluster but it never stopped shining. Hooked them backup again. Will have to get a new cluster hoping it will help.
My MOT is coming up and a shining brake warning will be a failing point.

Service brakes fluid level being low will cause the hand brake to illuminate.

I have always wondered what the trade off is over this. You save on petrol but is that as much as the cost of the plugs?

Given that in isolation I didn't think there was anything wrong with the way it ran on plugs with 45000 miles on them I would say that it's the service life you're paying for. In other vehicles especially my Nissan Maverick a set of cheap normal copper plugs would need to be changed every service not every 4 or 5.

I did very little apart from change the air filter.
Was intending changing the diff oil but cant get the front filler off.
I have no heat or welder so just plodded on knuckle scrapping using various tools and sockets etc. Gave it up as a bad job.
Did find in a locker some metal putty which got me thinking about cutting a bolt down and sticking it in the recess with the putty, leaving it to cure for a day and having another go.
Not sure it would work ? antone used this method?
