Got the clutch changed on mine as it was starting to slip.
If anyone is interested in the cost of this it was £255.13 inc VAT at Mr Clutch in Swindon, but there are other Mr Clutch centres about the country. This included a flull clutch kit and not just the friction linings.

A bit of wash and polishing after the latest outing with Brett, Dave, Sniper and JackonlyJack. Not as bad as expected really. A bit of the G3 scratch remover stuff worked wonders...
before:
after:
Also fitted the new spare wheel holder thing with added L bracket for the CB aerial. This was to stop the #~$*ing thing clanging on the back all the time (where it was mounted onto the rear door before). works a treat now
(sorry pics are not great, lighting in the garage is pretty poor!)

Well, not today but over the weekend I....
Fitted an Xtrons Android based head unit which gives me, Hands free, Sat Nav, Web Browsing, OBD2 info and all the music I could ever want in one slick looking unit (That install was very easy)
I also fitted an Easyguard PKE (passive keyless entry) central locking system with in-built alarm, push button start, anti-carjacking feature and remote engine start.
It's awesome just walking up to Jimny and she winks at you an unlocks, especially useful when carrying shopping with one arm and a rumbustious toddler in the other.

I took it to Halfrauds to have 5 new boots fitted and wheel alignment.
Yoko Geolandas G015S 75 notes each fitted, pre paid and pre booked last weekend. (best deal I found on line)
Arrived at 1pm for 130 fitting - no tyres had been delivered. grrrr
went home awaiting call which I got at 3pm telling me tyres would be there for 4pm so bring car in we will prep it ready.
530pm- still no tyres delivered and they close at 6pm so told them to put my old ones back on Im off.
Now trying to contact someone to recredit me so I can look and purchase from elswhere.
Just noticed they have manged to bust a locking nut and also put my spare with a slow puncture on one corner
What a shoite outfit they are, so unprofessional.
Avoid at all costs.

If you want to complain phone the head office, they will then force the store to sort it out to your satisfaction, be it a refund or tyres with freebies etc to keep you happy.

Well it has been over 10 months since i bought my Jimny and it has been apart from a sticky caliper fault free.
When i acquired the car the steering wheel was off center by about 5 degrees which was easily sorted with help from forum members, i have been aware of play in the nearside king pin bearings but not enough to warrant 'death wobble' so i have put the job off until now as the MOT is due in about six weeks.
Bearings and seals ordered and arrived two days ago, weather looking to hold of rain i set about replacing the bearings.
The hardest part of the job was refitting the ABS sensor and the bottom taper bearing, all in all it was a good 3 hour job, another hour to clean up and pack away my tools then it was test drive time......oops, my steering wheel is now off center the opposite way from what it was originally when i bought it, back out with a couple of spanners and a quick tweak, and the wheel is now level.
It has been a satisfying days work.
Dave,
P.S. all thanks to the forum 'how to' videos.

Marked and drilled the holes for my LED Light bar addition. Bit daunting drilling into the bumper but all was good.

I have been busy. I have reworked my infotainment array! Well more accurately I have replaced my oak single din infill panel with a substantial aluminiumiumiumiumiumium extrusion and repositioned my phone holder away to the passenger side giving better clearance and a cleaner aesthetic. I have to trim it in something black yet as the silver is a bit distracting, once done I'll bob a picture on.
