Today I mostly got upset with the tyre fitting place that did my bfgs because the sticky weights they used have fallen off in less than 8 months which is a first for me in in 25 years of motoring.

I replaced the Dash lights for LED.
Very easy to do, took about half hour

Drove 220 miles from my home in Cornwall to the West Midlands.
It's the second time I have done the trip, and the car ran very well. I kept the speed at around 65mph on the A38 and M5.
I could still walk at the end of journey, in fact I really enjoyed it, life in the slow lane isn't so bad, you notice the scenery more.

I agree you do notice more at a sedate pace. I am limited by a taco in the work truck so I am very familiar with cruising at that speed, its quite relaxing. :)

Fed up with it being so dark in the boot area of the jimny so fitted a solar powered light with motion sensor in the back. :)

Changed the gearbox oil for some Redline oil. Shifting is much improved. :) Also fitted a new MSA reg cut off switch.

Test fitted my conversion kit for the rear brakes from JimnyBits

Fits perfectly, I'll give everything a clean up tomorrow, can't wait until Monday when I can actually fit them :laugh:

Today I was mostly abusing my suspension taking spoil away from the epic civil engineering enterprise that is my drive. It was legal for weight but I don't think the suspension was overly impressed with me.

Fitted a new top rad hose, flushed the engine and rad and refilled with new coolant to -12 degrees. Will run test it all and top up to -25 in October. Thanks to Martin sending the hose to Bulgaria, 7 days in the post. Not bad!!!
