I like the look of this john, I used to fly model planes ;) its a very cheap heli, do you have one.? I always say you get what you pay for so how does it compare to Eflights products?

Yes I have one and it flies wonderfully. It flies more a bit more like a plank (which I don't fly lol) being fixed pitch. No 3D though!! I must have had about 6 palm sized helis over the years, all CP, the last was a Blade MCPX and it was hard work. This is a dream by comparison and almost unbreakable. For the money it is incredible value too. It is fixed pitch but who cares - it is great. There is a bloke selling them on eBay for 15 notes but you need a radio as his are BNF. I got a FS-TH9XB to use with it and with the 912 and 913 (still FPs) that I have for backyard use but they are sluggish compared to say a Mini Titan. Peeps throw bigger motors into the 913 but I prefer to get the CPs out if I want whoosh like performance.

might have to get one for myself as a xmas pressie, for less than 30quid cant go wrong really!watched the video on the site and it looks pretty stable for a single blade palm sized heli! my dads got a FP Blade but its too quick to fly in my house :( is it controlable/stable enough to land on say a CD?was thinking about gettin a blade micro quadrotor a little ago but at over 80quid there abit pricey.

This little V911 you can land on a mouse mat........ easy!!
You are buying the electronics really - with a single rotor on top. lol
I have a Q-Bot and it is nothing like as stable as the V911.

Ok so a hundred quid on discs and pads lighter and a retest some time tomorrow and all will be good. It will be nice to stop without the pedal pulsating.

Fitted the second ORA radius guard to the front. Yet to drill the securing bolts, but that can come later next week. Tomorrow will be one of the rears, leaving hopefully the final rear for Monday (I only have lunch times to work on it at the moment).

A bit worrying, despite it being jet washed almost every week, is the amount of mud that builds up in the radius arm brackets (and under the car in general). Lots of small pockets of wet mud. No wonder these things rust in the UK

Next Summer I am going to get a shot blast kit and sand blast the brackets out (along with a few other areas) and Hammerite.

Final fit of spots:

Not happy about the route but without drilling and the annoying fact I threw away the old broken aerial, it will do for now.

Have to see about wind noise.

Relay mounted nice and high via a bracket I found laying around:

Pick up from the high beam trigger (for those of you like me who puzzled about this .. it is the red one with a scattering of sliver horizontal bands).

Next on the list a switch for them .. also I did read a thread some place around the forum that mentioned a table on the rear door and had a light-bulb moment re washing-line props, a poncho, para cord, jubilee clips and carabiner combining for a retractable cover over open rear door from the roof rails...

Now you have a excuse to buy a snorkel for the wires to run down :)

Well... That's my excuse anyway :)
