I like that. Is it permanently live, as in to run a phone charger without the rest of the car on?

Yes, I chose to make it permanent live, as the switch turns off both voltage display and USB power.

Nice, do you have to raise it to use the hand brake or reach around ?

In playing with it, I reach around but my son raises it. So it's 50:50.

A short vid of your technique operating the hand brake would be nice. I want the armrest but if its in the way all the time then its a no go.

I find it completely straight forward. However its fair to say that if you had a large person in the passenger seat.....

Chasing down severe propshaft vibration, I took off the prop to be rebuilt, lengthened and balanced. In doing so I noticed the rear engine mount has gone, definitely a major contribution to the problem.

Thanks, doesn't look like it would fit?

I also think that the trouble with unbreakable items is that they transfer the issue to something more expensive such as the gearbox case.

Today I had a go at back-flushing the heater matrix.

A chemical radiator flush the other week was partially successful and the heating has improved significantly but its still not as good as my neighbour's Jimny.

The two pipes disappearing into the firewall just refused to be pulled off the matrix stack pipes  - access was a major problem even getting the hose clips off was an utter pig. I almost gave up but then...

I attacked it from the other end of the matrix pipes, by pulling the same pipe off where it went onto the block - it was a lot easier that way and the pipes came free without too much drama.

I used a garden hose with some copper pipe in the end of it to connect to the matrix rubber pipes, being careful with the pressure (we have very poor pressure here anyway) and gave it a good long purge

No idea if this has been successful yet.
My next cold early morning start will be at 5am on Friday but it should be very quickly apparrent if there is an improvement.

IF IT AINT BROKE, KEEP FIXING IT UNTIL IT IS
