Today I fitted a cheap and cheerful snorkel!





It's just made from an old piece of drainage pipe, attached to the original rubber pipe!

Loving these simple but effective mods!

nifty little trick ! i wonder if it'd be worth adding a little 90º elbow on the end pointing down ? if water came to the height of the pipe it may stop some going in.

Fitted a pair of snow chains to the rear end of the Jimny today as 2'' of snow is forecast overnight. We have some steep inclines here and the roads are not gritted at all, should be fun. Hoping to try them out tomorrow and the ABS since I've not had a chance to try them out before, Hope they'll work ok. :unsure:

Took the little Jimny for a snow run, 9mm chains added to the rear drive, checked the Abs worked and they did just fine.
The roads are not gritted so I wasn't sure if it would drive up the steep hill, the last 60 metres on the hill top is dirt drive and pot holed but it drove up fine in 4x4 felt very safe and secure, even coming down hill..

Took the Grand Vitara for MOT today, passed with 'flying colours' as the nice man said ..... ;)

Snorkel fitted, HD transfer box brackets,HD transfer box mounts, engine oil,differential oil,transfer box oil all changed, spark plugs, air filter and oil filter changed
(gearbox to-do) fitted homemade diff breathers
Thanks to my mechanic Mark again for all his work (I did help a bit) :)

Looking fantastic. Really like the look of the snorkel. I'd like one too be no real need other than the look awesome. Lol.
