Thanks, Dan...gonna save a small fortune in blue towel roll going to work at 3.30 in the morning, and once I get those flood lights wired up I'll stand every chance of getting all the way there without the resident antlered wildlife trying to turn themselves into hood ornaments
When are we gonna get some snow, mate, I'm getting really really bored

The little Jimny passed it's MOT today with flying colours, so I gave it a wash and wax, after I got it ready for the winter.
Added some bling too, four aluminum dust caps.

Happy new year all.

Thanks Daniel30

+17 degrees today but I also did a dry run on the snow chains,,, next few days looking at -4-6 degrees overnight,
wind has changed from south to blow from Russia, looking forward to some snow to try out the Jimny in it's new snow shoes.

weather.sinoptik.bg/byala-bulgaria-100732721/10-days

We normally get three or four weeks of deep snow January to February, half a metre deep in three days, three years ago.

I swapped the old towbar for a replacement Tow-trust bar so I now have a tow ball. I still need to sort the electrics, the old electrics aren't working properly. doubtless Scotch-Lok related. I also need to sort a few of the bumper mounting bolts that sheered off and do something with the back-box that was being held up by the old towbar, a P.O. had cable-tied a rubber pad to it.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

Hi, BGBrit just a quick word of caution incase you weren't already aware, smear some vasoline on the threads and then install ally dust caps as the ally corrodes and sticks tight to the brass if left for a while. I speak from experience :(

Hi srcars, thanks for that,, yes I was aware as it was recommended on the packaging, but having no vaseline I used a smear of copper grease instead. I did have a thought though after, would they get nicked as they are quite blingy which tends to attract the ungodly.
