I fitted a spring spacer to the front driver's side of mine to correct the lean created by my fat arse!

Now it's nice and level!

I fabbed the boxes up using 3mm x 80 x 80 box section then welding a 6mm 80 x 80 end plate on and drilling a 37mm hole through the centre of the end plate for the stainless steel cylindrical shackle mount to slide through from the rear.

The shackle mount is held in place with a circlip.

I then welded each fabbed up box to the bottom of the rear chassis leg ends. The 3mm 50 x 50 box section running between the chassis legs is just there for extra lateral support.

Today I opened the bonnet and thought about fitting the new engine, I stood and looked at it for a few minutes then decided that was a job for another day. I did top the washers up while the bonnet was up though :)

Last night and tonight under the J trying to changing one of the TB oil seals. Bloody wet and cold, still not finished. Would be far easier if I had a workshop and could take the whole thing out into the warm and dry :(

Was in the shower feeling please with myself then realised I hadn't crimped the flange locking nut :pinch:

Will be underneath it again tomorrow night.

What a tool
