Did my winch.
WARN VRS 9500lb Synthetic rope:
What bumper is that? or is it a custom?? Any chance of a few more photos?
It's an Xrox Bull bar, manufactured by Outback Accessories (AUS).
This one really maximises the approach angle whilst protecting the radiator and has enough room for a winch. It's also very strong. I've seen the aftermath of an impact with a kangaroo. A tiny dent in the bash plate.
Heres another pic from today (recovery points added). Notice how the wheels are not at all covered. Love that angle of approach!

darthloachie wrote: they're nice arches, did you have to trim them much as I guess they're SJ ones?
Yes SJ ones 4.75" from the states. I've only trimmed the front as they meet the bumper, not bad everywhere else, put a bit of silicon in a gap where the rear qtr meets the rear bumper
See if they stay on for our Lake District weekend !

Rhinoman wrote: I put a new fan belt on it after the old one snapped yesterday. I didn't bother replacing the fan shroud, it'll be easier to pull the rad next time it needs cleaning. The shroud on the Vit did nothing but trap mud.
On Vitaras, Jimnys and a few others I cut the shroud down leaving only the top part held with the top two bolts. It's then easy off but has some protection for hands. Half the time it is easier to remove initially by cutting it anyway.

All springs have now been replaced with +2" Jimnybits springs from Dave Jones . I now have to fix a broken ARB bolt and a broken ABS sensor bolt, the later was done by a previous owner! then I have to bleed the brakes as I also had to replace a corroded front brake line.
