Thought I'd start a long overdue project I've had on the cards for a while.....the boot!
We all carry stuff in the boot and to give us more space we fold the rear seats down  Nothing unusual so far, however, when we fold the seats down there is a 5" step between the boot floor and the seat backs which can make carrying things a bit awkward at times so I decided to make a box to raise the boot floor to the same level as the seats when folded
Had to be functional too as I had plans for various areas as shown in the following photo's..... It's a work in progress and needs to be covered properly in black speaker cloth and the original boot floor carpet but this is the project so far.....
Seats in the UP position they fold without fouling anyehere.
Seats folder down and the boot floor is now level with the seat backs
Yes I know, it looks tacky so far but it does have 2 hideaway areas
Under this area are a 2 Ton bottle jack (better than the standard jack) a wheel brace, fire extinguisher screwed in place, Hi-Vis jacket and 1st Aid kit.
Under the centre are is an amplifier which drives the 8" subwoofer housed under the right hand side. Nothing too powerful like those boy racers I just like a bit of oomph to my music being a bass player.
So there it is so far....More to follow as and when I finish it

The paint work is spotless and underneath is rust free too, I sold my Jimny for £2300 and only paid £1200 for the pajero the only thing that needs fixing is the electric aerial, the side steps were removed as soon as I got it in the work shop so it looks a little less pikey already

Cheers Gaz it certainly drives better on the road than the Jimny, it won't be as good offroad as the Jimny but it will make the lanes more challenging
