Hi,hope this is the right section for my query,recently bought my first jimny a couple of week back and im quite enjoing it quirky little things.

My question is im 6 ft 2 and quite a big bloke im wondering if there is any way to get the seat to go back any further as im finding it a bit of a squeeze,ive had a look under the seat and cant see any adjustments on the runners or base,any help would be much appreciated thanks gary

I'm 6ft 1 and find it a bit cramped, but there is no further adjustment unless you physically unbolt and bodge it back in

I am hopein to bodge mine hopefully. Make some rails for seat to sit on
and and move it back.but still keepin the slide adjustment.

I have made some fine extension-brackets for the drivers seat in my 2005 Jimny. I'm 2 meters tall and really needed some space for the legs. When brackets are mounted, in the original holes, the tracks under the seat, are moved 70mm's to the rear = That's enhancing the comfort for me as a driver sooooo much - it's really like a limousine !!
They are made of solid steel, on a plasmacutting machine and painted black. Both the front brackets are supplied with a screw in the extra pin-hole (like the original brackets), for extra security.
All 4 of them are easily mounted in max 30 minuts.
I have sold some complete sets to UK residents already.

Note: the brackets on the photo are the prototypes, made by hand :)
