Your wish is my command!

I have contacted Rustmaster ( www.waxoylprofessional.com/ ) who have come back with a price and explanation of the work they would do. What I didn't mention in my opening post is that BnA never got back to me when I emailed them. Also their web site is pretty rubbish.

Anyway, here is what RM had to say:

Thank you for your enquiry to rust proof your Jimny. The cost of complete treatment is £390+vat and will take our 2 technicians 5 hours to complete and you are most welcome to stay and view the process or our free car service will take you into town and pick you up should you prefer. This includes full steam pressure cleaning, preparation and complete drying underbody, then internal cavity injection treatment of all box sections, bonnet, front wings, doors, rear door, sills, sub-frame, cross members and chassis etc and finally sealing underbody with Waxoyl’s superior professional underbody HARDWAX. Rustmaster is the sole importer and licensed user of the Swiss technology trade only professional Waxoyl in the UK. Our branches are in Hatfield HERTS and Knutsford CHESHIRE. Also a pick up and return service is available should you prefer.

I then asked about how they get rid of the flaky surface rust, and also what about the hole in the boot area:

yes our very thorough cleaning then machine brushing will remove all rust before treatment. Most jimmy's we do are in very similar condition so don't worry we know what we're doing. Don't worry about small hole I will give you some product in aresole form and show you how to care for this

What did make me laugh was:

I will give you some product in aresole form

...well, made me laugh.

Anyway, sounds good to me, and a worthwhile investment if it means the J lasts another 5 years. I can then top up small areas as and when. I don't have the tools, garage or time to do the whole thing myself, but bits a pieces I can.

Will ask for it as an early Christmas present and will book it in soon if possible. Will let you know how it goes with pictures.
