Hello. I am new to the jimny as i have just bought my first one off my dad. i plan on doing a couple basic modifications more for looks instead of off road ability.
I am just wondering what i will need to buy and where to buy the following, and if doing these modifications will lead to needing other parts to make them work properly.
i plan on getting a 2" body lift, and some 15" steel wheels and new tyres. the steelies are 15x7j. so what would the best tyre size be without having to do arch modification. keep in mind i dont plan on doing any serious off roading. so i dont want big nobbly off road wheels. just an all terain type.
Basically i just want to make to give it a bit more beef. I am not loaded out my arse so obviously i cannot afford all the top quality parts.
also, what is the best exhaust modification to do to make it sound a been meatier since its only a little 1.3 and dont want it to sound like a boy racer lol

I have the same mods on my Jimny! Except instead of the all terrain tyres I have the nobbly ones with arch trimming...
I'm not sure what size tyre's you could fit without trimming the arches but someone on here will have the answer.
I would also add diff and transfer case breather to your list. Very inexpensive to do and very handy if you don't want water in your diffs after going in water..
Not a fan of body lifts .there is a recent thread on here on how to use the stock front springs on the rear and some merc springs up front for a budget 2" lift

but are this lift on the standard dampers? or would you have to buy new dampers to match the springs?
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationi have just put some jimny 15x7 steel wheels and tyres on ebay,general grabber at2s 205 75 15.just looked at ur link and they are what i have and were i got them from,they are like new.
i have some 15" steel 7j white wheels for sale im in kent i cant seem to up load a pic but i can email you one if wanted im only after £80 for them and thay are stright and i ran 215 75 15 on the with no props oh and you will need wheel spacers to fit them due to the off set let me no and i see no probs with body lifts but just keep in mind the higher you go you have to go wider to
@ ne-crock: The correct thing to do is to replace the shockers... (suppose you have the original)
Otherwise they'll be pre-tensioned making the drive quite hard. Also, the over-lift of the springs tend to stretch out the shocks, making them possibly top out (extend fully) repeatedly, and that could eventually wear out the shocks too quickly. I guess you could get away with the original shocks if you use shock spacers...
