Fitting a Steering damper kit was created by Carrow
Hi,
I recently fitted AT tyres and Grayston 32mm wheel spacers, as a result I now have a little steering wobble, Kingpins ok, wheels balanced, wheel bearings ok, so I have ordered the steering damper from Jimny bits.

This one: www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/jimny-ste...mper-kit/prod_8.html

Pro Comp option.

unfortunatly as I am a Jimny NEWBIE! :S not 100% sure how to fit, can anyone help with a piccy or instructions. cheers.

You should all so check you tie rod end, you have four on the jimny one may have so play in it this will also give you steering wobble.
l replaced one of the tie-rod ends after getting some death wobble at 45 mph' so it's not always the king pins.
On my jimny it's been the wheels balancing and two tie-rod ends, 40,000 miles on the same king pins not to bad.

As you can see from the photo of the tie-rod ends, they have two different length threads so you will need to measure as in the photo, from the outside of the tie-rod end to the locking nut, so it fit in the same place as the old one on the steering bar.
Hope this helps.

:woohoo: same problem that happened to me
 mine still wobbles
:) looking forward to watching how you sort this

Might follow dirtydogz's thinking and try sticking on some new tie rod ends
what do you do to check if they're dodgy

some pics that might help

This damper kit is different from all of the above. I'm sure Bluejimny will be along soon.
It clamps to the o/s chassis rail across to the rear steering bar.
The top picture looks incorrect, it does clamp to the axle, but then to the rear steering bar up and out of harms way.
