My dash lights require a loving punch to make them work lol
Its on the list of things to sort
Yours could be a fuse or bad earth

Looking at the wiring diagram, the console is powered from the same wire (red/yellow from the switch) as the tail lights. If I'm reading it right, it's fuse 11.

I had same problem once and it was back of dash part of circuit board burnt out so i soldered a piece of wire on to fix

I also had the same problem but mine was earthing out. I had some slack in the towbar wiring and it had melted against the exhaust then earthing out against it, blowing the fuse.
The wires can rub through against the body where they come out behind the light too
