What it does is make even complete newbies feel comfortable in the rough stuff and with things like terrain response it makes it almost idiot proof. I was sold on the tech after driving a 110 but after seeing the new freeloader in action i was amazed. It was entirely cross axled and it just kept pulling!

It could be argued that HDC eliminates the need for low range as technology could adjust the torque to reproduce the "effect" of low box.

Imagine a seriously sorted truck with a standalone managed traction control, HDC, stall control system. The technology is there it just needs to be to tweaked to suit the application ie remapped to operate softer or harder depending on the conditions just as with engine mapping.

Once suzuki catch up a jimny with with proper low box(not the push button) and traction control and hdc will be a serious tool.

Black Jimny's don't get stuck!
