The Coorong was created by ZookFastback
The Coorong is a 120 kilometre long narrow spit of land, separated from the mainland of South Ausy by 100m to 500 metres of water which can be fresh, salt or a mixture of both. Sometimes parts of it dry up, leaving salt or mudflats which are lovely to hoon alon on, until the crust breaks and then :( Lol

Once you get to the end of the Coorong, a short trip down the coast takes you to the extinct volcano of Mt Gambier, just on the South Australian side of the border from Victoria.

Here are a couple of pics of the Blue Lake, one of the volcano's lakes and startlingly blue...

Yeah, it was pretty overcast with storms every couple of hours. I was supposed to go North into the Flinders Ranges but I received a phone call to say my youngest son had a collapsed lung so I quickly turned around and came back to Vic.

Turned my video cam on and left it on the dash when driving through the Otway Ranges. Very jumpy and will have to see a camera expert to find out how to make better ones.

Son is ok, he is on several medications now and should be all ok within six months.

Hey you drive on the right side of the road out there. Hope your lad is ok now. I have 3 sons of my own, so can imagine what it must have felt like.

I hear that in Ireland, they are going to change over to the yank way of driving... but in order to ease the change-over, odd-numbered plates are changing first and then even-numbered plates the following day.

Yeah, Shaun is fine. He is the baby of my family, got six kids but Shaun is only ... 22! B)
