On board air compressor was created by Nelson83
Thinking long term after a lift kit and either insa/ maxxis - im thinking about the inside mods of my truck. I've already van sided the back end and have a temporary full length cage in readiness to remove the rear seats and put in a false floor. Does any body have any suggestions as to what sort of on board compressor i can fit? I'd like one which can inflate tyres fairly fast and if needs be attach an air gun to blow tools clean etc when out in the field. The t-maxx ones from jimny bits look ok, but can anybody suggest anything better? One idea ive had is to mount a small garage one with a compressor and run it using an invertor

I use a tmax one and its great but they work off and on off switch not a pressure switch and dont store pressure. I use the smaller one but i think the bigger 150l per minute one would do what you want to have a decent pressure to blow stuff down

theres always an arb high output compressor - that has a pressure sensor and you can get an airline kit with it (cheaper to build your own airline with bits off ebay) - not cheap though

If you fit a tank then that will improve the speed of tyre inflation. You can buy some smart purpose made tanks or pinch one from a scrap lorry.

I know ARB make them. Also depending on winch make you can get an air spool for it instend of doing it all by hand, this is going to be my plan soon

I've got an ARB mounted under the front seat. It's great
ARB has a special here in OZ at the moment where you get one free along with tire inflation kit when you buy front & rear diff locks

Read somewhere on a Forum where they fitted an A>Conditioning compressor onto the engine. Think they uead winch bumper as an air tank.

I've heard good things about the TMAXX one but not gone one myself to give an honest answer.
