does anyone know where to get diff guards???

i was wandering if you can buy diff guards resnibaly cheep faling that i will make my own.

ORA have some weld on type. KAP do some bolt on guards. None are exactly cheap.

how much are they?

I'm considering them but also considering a bit of flat bar 30-40mm wide welded on down the front of the diff casing, that's how I did my LR IIA many years ago.

One thing to be aware of if you weld flat metal down the front of the diff case is how close the Panhard rod getd to the front of the diff. If you have castor correction arms they push the axle forward to maintain the wheelbase and keep the springs upright. The consequence is that the Panhard, on my vehicle anyway, just, and only just, clears the front of the diff. I have a diff guard from ERM in France that welds onto the bottom 1/3rd of the diff and should never come close to the Panhard rod.

I had this diff/axle guard fitting after splitting the diff casing beginning of last year on a quarz granite rock at Costerfield...

Actually, I got a bit paranoid and also fitted a guard under the transfer box too

im goimg to move the exhaust out of the way and have it coming out the front wing then put on diff guards fuel tnk guard and thats about it.

dont those axel guards cost a fair bit?

nah mate, cost me nothing but retail is about $200

where you get the transfer box guard and how much it cost . iv got to get 1 common for smashing them people tell me
