There is a thread on here somewhere, but just undo the bolts, pull them off, poke your finger inside, wiggle and pull and the inner splined bit will move outwards and lock the hub, then carefully replace, having disconnected the hoses so they don't come off again.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

I managed carefully with an imperial socket 5/16 I think, cos I don't have a 10mm torx.
Had my first hub malfunction at the weekend. Drivers side not locking, bit of moisture had got in, gave it a clean and re greased to fix.

The light is supposed to flash if the pipes are disconnected.
The transfer box will be in 4wd though, so with the hubs locked manually it will work.
If you block all the pipes by pushing small bolts into the ends the light won't flash, and dirt wont get into the pipes.
