Try gumtree, normally some good bargains on there but not so good if you are looking to part-ex your clio.

Beware of a "slight rust" Thats what I thought mine had when I bought it, only when I went to rub it down and treat it did the 5cm area of rust turn into a 15cm hole.
Its not the end of the world in the boot as it is not structural or an MOT fail but at some point it will need cutting out and a new bit welding in...

yeah I'm looking everywhere at the moment and just advertised my clio for sell to raise the buying limit.

I can do most bits of welding at work so not to fussed about little bits of rust but at least i'm learning what else to look out for!

I was thinking this is probably more my price range if I trade in my clio

that doesn't look too bad in price? for age/mileage does it?

Hi Sam_ and welcome,

Beware of people wanting your car who don't want to view it but want it delivering by transport company. They are SCAMMERS. I had about a dozen when I was selling my Clio.

Well I went to the Concorde garage with my wife, a 1 1/2hr drive up from worthing.

And was pretty disappointing, apparently the red one I went to see was nearly 4k! and it had only just been knocked down! when I said that seemed pretty steep in price he said "well we sold 200 jimny's last year so our prices can't be that bad."

Also when I laughed when he offered me nearly 600 pounds less than the glasses price guide and said don't worry about it I'll sell it, he then wouldn't let me take any for a test drive! even though I said I had a credit card and they said they took credit cards!

also when I mentioned that the one I was looking at was a bit rusty underneath (was really bad and didn't look like it had been washed in a long while) I was told they were all like that and not too worry, Even though the one I saw yesterday was mint compared to this and had more miles on it!

Anyway just wanted to say not a good experience which was a shame and they certainly won't be winning any awards for customer service!

With that kind of attitude, they are not going to get any recommendations on the forums ...

I was really surprised by his attitude. I'd already spoken twice on the phone with him so he knew where we were coming from and how keen I was.

To be fair though after I had seen it, it certainly didn't seem to be worth the money he was charging.

Definitely better if I sell my car and go private. ;)

You will find all Jimny's are scabby underneath... especially around the welds

You will get a better deal private, Autotrader is great

It amazes me Garages can be like this. I've had it several times, I just don't know how they sell anything, ever. I can only assume there are a lot of stupid people about.

Go private if you can and save yourself a lot of money B)

Well he out right said to me that the forecort prices were higher than online as people just passing weren't "bargin hunters like people who find our garage online"

So I found it quite hard looking around as non of the prices matched the ones online!

I tried to sell my Clio through Autotrader. As I said earlier, beware Scammers.
