Have you got 3 bushes per fixing? So that the bolts do not contact the chassis brackets? I think the older kits only came with 2 nylon bushes per fixing.

Are these low frequency vibrations or high frequency.

When it was my mounts I had a high frequency vibration that I could feel in my feet and knees through the floor.

I got my kit in January, but went for the earlier kit. I got 9 bushes in total, so everything is seperated by a bush on on each of the 3 fixings

from the bottom up it goes bush / chassis bracket / bush / Transfer box bracket / bush so that at no point does the bolt contact any brackets.

Probs worth you giving Rob a bell and trying to get 3 more bushes.

Hi

There should be next to no vibration at all... Our old bush kits were a 3 part bush, but now they are two but a larger bush, still works in exactly the same way tho...

The most common cause of vibration is that the props are not aligned perfectly... it is worth double & TREBLE checking them, we've all done it, get a straight edge and hold it down the prop to be sure.

What donor props have you used? and do you have sufficient free travel on the slip yokes? (they are not fully compressed) there should be at least 30mm of free inward movement at stand still.

also check the UJ's for movement and that they are well greased, and that there is not lateral play in the splines - we had a front one that had and it vibrated like mad once you got above 25mph - you couldnt tell off the jimny, only when it was mounted on the jimny and you gave the prop a shake by the splines and you could see it moving

one of the downsides of a big lift

you will get a small amount of movement in the transfer box as it is rubber mounted but any more and check the tightness of the bolts - dont overtighten as they fit into a threaded cavity in the casing and will need helicoiling if the threads are buggered
they are vunerable when offroading so I'd fit a guard as I've broken my mounts twice before I fitted one
easy to fit

I had a lot of vibration with my rocklobster box conversion and ORA gearbox mounts - I had the 3 piece red bushes. The problem, I think, is that the bushes are very hard and it has a bolt all the way through which inevitably will touch both the gearbox mount and chassis mount at some point. Hence vibration will be transmitted. Like you I use my Jimny a lot on the road and found it very unpleasant to drive. I had a short prop made for it between the autobox and rocklobster, and thinking there was a problem with it had it remade but the problem persisted. In the end I changed back to standard Suzuki rubber mounts and its now much better to drive with almost no vibration. So I suppose if you want strong mounts you have to put up with vibration, if you want a more smooth drive use Suzuki originals. I do carry a spare one of those with me and although I don't do anything really challenging with this car I haven't broken one (yet!)
With my French car which I use for tougher off roading I use Llama bolt through mounts which have rubber bushes (on a rocklobster transfer box) and these seem to work much better. They are nearly as good as the original mounts in terms of vibration, but of course should be stronger.

are you using all 3 of the transfer box mounting bushes ?
I had issues when I mounted mine as the mini prop was fouling the transmission tunnel.

In the end, I reduced the number of bushes down to find the optimum

Hi Ooky - I think, from your photo, that you have the bushes on incorrectly. As I understand it there should be the large bush between the chassis mount and the gearbox bracket, with one of the other mounts below the chassis mount , and one above the gearbox bracket, if that makes sense! the bolt then passes through all 3. I can see why the prop hit the tunnel as the transfer box would be mounted very high and unless you have a body lift the transfer box would have been hitting the underside of the tunnel.

Is your input prop catching the gearbox mounts as it sounds like it

Nope, tried that too .. that was the first setup, and the transfer box mount touched the chassis.
Ive tried every combination and this was the only one that gave me clearance on the chassis and also gave enough clearance for the mini prop

I'd agree with Obarno, if either the nut or bolt is in contact with metal you'll get vibration, personally I'd go for three of these.
